About the camp
Farm Camp is a fun, nature-based day camp in Walnut Creek for kids ages 5 and up.
Here is a sample day schedule:
9 am: Gather
Morning Farm Rounds (Feeding, watering the horses, ducks, and chickens, learning about horse behavior, etc.)
Letting the chickens and ducks out to free-range
Wildlife awareness and identification – “What wildlife do you see?”
Snack
Riding horses
Lunch
Daily hands-on horse management lesson with topics such as nutrition, anatomy, horse care, grooming, etc.
Art and crafts time!
Planting for stewardship on the farm
Horse care and treats
3 pm: Pick up

Session 4: August 3 – 5
Adult camp counselors bring the 6 to 1 ratio to Farm Camp. To give children the attention they need, we will have no more than two groups of six children for each session.
What to Bring to Farm Camp
Wear jeans or riding pants, bring a second pair of pants, extra t-shirt, Long sleeve shirt, socks, garden gloves, garden trowel, large watering can, sunhat, sunscreen, beach towel, enough water to drink, sugar-free snacks (fruit is fine), protein snacks, a big sugar-free lunch, riding helmet, riding boots, tennis shoes, mask if required, labeled crayons, labeled house-paint brush, gardening gloves.

The farm
Bryerly Farms is a family-run organic vegetable, herb, and horse farm. We use no pesticides or herbicides because holistic organic farming creates happy food, people, horses, and the planet.
We are located in Walnut Creek, CA., one block from Mt. Diablo State Park. We enjoy horseback riding in the arena and out on the beautiful trails. Bryerly Farms is a Certified Wildlife Habitat® and a sanctuary location for rescued American wild horses.
